Access is not ownership. Understanding is not authority. This book puts a model of a life into a form another person can encounter, question, and carry forward. The purchase opens that encounter. It does not buy the person, their private archives, agreement with their conclusions, or authority to speak in their name. These terms make that boundary practical.

1. Your purchase

Bishop Woodcrafts LLC offers access to The Governor through bishopcraft.com. The price is $10 USD, paid once, for one person's full access to the book reader, its available reading editions, the source notes included with the book, and a download of the complete current raw manuscript as a plain-text (.txt) file. There is no recurring subscription. Any applicable tax is included in the $10 total. Review the order and total before paying.

Choose the online reader or download the complete raw text for personal reading; both are included in the same $10 purchase. It does not include a printed book, copyright ownership, separately advertised context products, private source archives, woodworking services, or consulting unless the checkout expressly includes them. A current browser, internet connection, and an account associated with your purchase are required to use the reader or obtain the download. A downloaded personal copy can be read offline.

2. Delivery and your account

Access is provided after payment is confirmed and your purchase is connected to your account. Keep your sign-in details private and use an email address you can access. If your payment succeeds but the reader does not unlock, use purchase and account support with your order reference. Do not send passwords or full card details. A payment confirmation page alone is not proof that access has been activated.

Already have access? Owner access and individually granted complimentary access do not require a purchase. An entrance marked “You already have access” is a reading entrance, not another checkout. “Enter reader” does not charge you or create a subscription. A displayed $10 reference price does not mean you owe $10. Complimentary book access includes the same reader and personal text download. It is personal and does not make the book a public download.

2a. General contact after reading

The general-contact form on bishopcraft.com requires a verified $10 book purchase and completion of every counted section in the current online reading record. There is no additional contact fee. Each completion marker is your confirmation that you have read that section; the website cannot prove comprehension. If you read the downloaded text, record completion using the matching sections in the online reader. Empty divider pages do not count. Materially changed sections may need a new completion confirmation.

Complimentary book access does not automatically include general-contact access. The owner's own account is exempt. Unlocking the form allows you to send a message; it does not promise a response, a response time, a personal relationship, or a consultation.

Purchase help stays available: payment, account recovery, access problems, privacy or rights requests, and reports about material involving you can be sent through purchase and account support without buying or completing the book. Honest reviews and lawful complaints do not require permission or reading completion.

The site stores minimal section-completion records linked to your account and the edition. General-contact messages are sent to Ethan's business address with the original message wording and a separate payment/completion label, then forwarded to his current Gmail inbox for handling. Message labels describe the website's records at submission; they are not a judgment about the sender.

3. Your reading license

Your purchase gives you a personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the book reader and download, retain, and read the supplied text file on your own devices. You may make personal backup copies, take personal notes, and discuss or review the book. Copyright and other rights remain with their respective owners. Buying access does not transfer rights in the manuscript, cited works, songs, images, or other third-party material.

Do not share your account, resell access, redistribute the book or substantial portions of it, or bypass access controls. Unless separately authorized in writing, the license does not include automated bulk extraction beyond the provided personal download, a publicly distributed substitute copy or competing reader, redistribution of the manuscript through a shared AI or retrieval system, or use of the manuscript to train or fine-tune a model. These limits apply only to the extent permitted by law.

The ideas are not locked behind ownership of your thinking. These terms do not claim ownership of facts, ideas, your notes, your response to the book, or your independently created work. They preserve fair use, lawful quotation, accessibility rights, research and other uses protected by applicable law. You may disagree, compare, test, criticize, and review the book honestly. Agreement with the book or its author is never a condition of reading access.

4. Preserve the distinction between a source and a person

The Governor distinguishes a representation from the life it describes. A citation supports a particular connection; it is not permission to reproduce everything at the other end of the link. A timestamp identifies a record. A gap between records is not a transcript of everything that happened between them. An interpretation, analogy, reconstructed sequence, or AI-assisted passage must not be presented as stronger evidence than its source supports.

When using material under this license, preserve attribution and distinguish fictional passages, adapted source material, exact external quotations, and your own interpretation. Do not falsely attribute invented or altered statements to a real person, present a fictional or synthetic persona as a real person, or imply anyone's endorsement without permission. These requirements do not prohibit clearly identified parody, commentary, or other lawful expression.

Book access includes only the material intentionally provided in the book reader and its supplied text download. It grants no access to private source archives, unpublished messages, credentials, accounts, or records about family members or other people. A person appearing in a story is not thereby offering their identity, privacy, voice, or personal relationship for sale. Cited songs, films, musicals, books, images, software, and other works remain subject to their own rights. A connection in this book is not a sublicensing agreement.

5. Refunds and access problems

Use purchase and account support for a duplicate charge, an incorrect charge, or an access problem. Duplicate or incorrect charges will be corrected. If we cannot provide the purchased access after a reasonable opportunity to fix the problem, we will refund the purchase. Change-of-mind requests are considered individually. Any mandatory refund, cancellation, or consumer rights still apply. A refund of the book purchase ends the corresponding paid access.

6. Updates, availability, and suspension

The book and reader may receive corrections and improvements. Those updates do not turn your one-time purchase into a subscription or create an additional charge without your agreement. Temporary maintenance may interrupt access. If we permanently withdraw the purchased reader service, we will offer an equivalent way to read the purchased book or a refund.

We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to address an unpaid or reversed payment, fraud, a compromised account, or a material breach of these terms. Where practical, we will explain the issue and provide an opportunity to resolve it. Contact us to challenge an access decision. Lawful criticism or a negative review is not a reason to remove access.

7. Payments and information

Live payments, when available, will be handled through Stripe. Account, order, payment-status, and support information is used to provide access, keep transaction records, and resolve problems. These purchase terms do not replace the site's privacy information or Stripe's privacy disclosures. Do not submit sensitive personal records through a book support request.

8. What the book promises, and what it does not

The purchase promises the reading access described above. It does not promise agreement, a particular interpretation, a diagnosis, a result in your own life, or that every proposed connection is an independently established fact. This edition is fiction and includes adapted source material, interpretation, and AI-assisted editorial work. Source notes explain the support and limits of particular connections. Fluency is not verification; a useful model can still be incomplete or wrong.

The book is not individualized medical, legal, financial, or engineering advice. A metaphor is not a diagnosis or an instruction to operate equipment. Links do not imply endorsement by the linked work's creator. Nothing here excuses failure to provide the purchased access or overrides protections the law gives you.

9. Correction is part of the work

If you find a factual error, missing attribution, broken source link, or a concern about material involving you, contact us with the section and the basis for your concern. We will review it. A report is not an automatic admission and does not guarantee a particular editorial outcome; it is a route for the evidence to come back into the work. Please do not send someone else's private records unless you have authority to share them.

10. Your rights and these terms

These terms do not exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. No compulsory arbitration or waiver of the right to bring a lawful consumer claim is imposed here. If a provision cannot lawfully be enforced, the remaining provisions continue only to the extent permitted by law. The version presented and agreed to at purchase governs that purchase; later changes will not retroactively reduce the access purchased or add fees.

Before a live purchase, the checkout must identify this offer, the total, and the applicable terms for your agreement. Browsing, opening the terms, or entering through an already-authorized reading entrance is not a new purchase or acceptance of a new paid obligation. A sandbox test is not a purchase. No term authorizes an undisclosed charge.
